2 Outstanding Options for Fantasy League Trophies
There are usually two ways that fantasy football trophies work. We’ll talk about them both here.
1. Personal Fantasy Football Trophy
Each year the winner of your league receives a trophy. Typically, at the beginning of the season, everyone pays a certain amount of money as a sort of “entry fee.” At the end of the season, part of that would be used to buy the winner a trophy and the rest would be their cash winnings.
This would be the perfect scenario for a personal fantasy trophy. Another option? The league winner could just use their cash winnings to purchase the decanter from us. But can we agree that it’s so much sweeter to present the trophy to the winner in front of everyone? Yeah, we can.
2. Perpetual Fantasy Footbal Trophy
The next option is for your league to buy a perpetual fantasy trophy. Each year, the newest winner would get the trophy from the previous winner. You simply add a plaque onto it to commemorate the champ’s winning season. Everyone from past seasons is remembered on the trophy! That’s pretty cool. The history of your league is preserved.
The winner holds onto the trophy for the entire year, until a new winner is “crowned.” We call ours a perpetual trophy, but maybe you’ve heard of pass-along trophies. It’s the same!
Loser Buys Booze
Whether you go for personal or perpetual fantasy football trophies, there will be a winner, and there will be losers. Sometimes a league will have a penalty for the person who comes in the last place. For our decanter trophies, we suggest the league loser buys the alcohol to fill the trophy for the winner!
